Grand Theft Auto fans are eagerly waiting for the second trailer of GTA 6.
It’s been over a year since Rockstar Games released the first trailer, and the wait is starting to feel endless for many.
As the year 2024 comes to an end, some fans are losing hope that Trailer 2 will arrive before the new year.
But could The Game Awards 2024 be the event where Rockstar finally reveals it?
Will GTA 6 Be at The Game Awards 2024?
While it’s tempting to speculate, we don’t believe GTA 6 Trailer 2 will be unveiled at The Game Awards 2024.
Historically, Rockstar Games prefers to release their trailers directly rather than using events like The Game Awards for reveals.
The first GTA 6 trailer shattered YouTube records without the need for a major event, so there’s no reason to think the second trailer needs an event for similar success.
However, GTA 6 is in the running for the Most Anticipated Game award at The Game Awards.
This inclusion has led some to believe that Geoff Keighley might be hinting at a Trailer 2 reveal.
Recently, GTA 6 won the ‘Most Wanted Game’ award at the Golden Joysticks, where Rockstar Games even sent a representative to thank fans and tease exciting things to come.
Given this, it wouldn’t be shocking if Rockstar took the stage soon, especially if GTA 6 wins against tough competitors like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yōtei, Metroid Prime 4, and Monster Hunter: Wilds. And honestly, GTA 6 deserves it.
How to Watch The Game Awards
The Game Awards 2024 will happen on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET. In the UK, that’s 12:30 AM GMT on December 13, 2024.
The show starts in just a few days.
Fans can watch it live on The Game Awards’ official Twitch and YouTube channels.
If you can’t watch it live, the YouTube stream will be available as a VOD on The Game Awards channel and through various co-streams.
While we don’t expect to see the GTA 6 Trailer 2 at The Game Awards, we’re hopeful that we’ll be pleasantly surprised.
We initially believed that December would be the month for the new trailer, so all we can do now is keep our fingers crossed and hope we were right.
