Some rumors suggest that GTA 6 Price could be at $100 making fans concerned and causing serious arguments.
Many fans argued that GTA 6 might be the greatest game of this decade but no matter what no game should cost that amount of money. Whereas others believe that GTA 6 will bring revolutionary improvements and features with it, that’s why it should cost more than regular AAA Games.
There’s no doubt, GTA 6 will bring life to the gaming industry with its amazing features and graphics.
With its first trailer, GTA 6 presents many unique features like realistic human expressions, body movements, interactive social media in a game, photo-esthetic graphics, and so on that we have never seen in any games. But is it really worth $100 to buy a game?
Sure if you are a die-hard fan of the GTA franchise, you might want to try the game no matter what the price is. But for normal gamers, it is a ridiculously high price to buy a game.
Despite this, there are some fans who think it’d be “totally reasonable” to price GTA 6 at $100, in a since-deleted Reddit thread that rubbed many people the wrong way.
As you can imagine there was a resounding “no” to this unpopular opinion, with many calling it the “dumbest” thing they’d ever heard.
“Just because an entertainment product costs a lot to make doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good. You’re thinking there’s a correlation between the money invested and the actual quality of whatever is being made but that’s just false” read another comment.
Personally I think those who agree GTA 6 should be priced at a higher margin are just fans of Rockstar Games, I mean can you imagine Ubisoft charging that much for the base version of an Assassin’s Creed game? There’d be riots.
An average AAA game costs around $60, so if GTA 6 wants to introduce a new price bracket for their new AAA game I think around $70-$75 would be a reasonable price for GTA 6 Standard Edition.
But, as we previously see rockstar earns most of its money with GTA 5 Online, so they might not totally increase GTA 6 price and launch the game around $60 and make its money back with online microtransactions.
Again, all of these are hypothetical as we have no idea what GTA 6 will cost when it comes out later this year. So let’s wait and see what Rockstar decides to do.
