GTA 6 Might Not Launch in 2025, According to Insiders is one of the most highly anticipated games ever, but recent news might leave fans a bit disappointed.
It’s been over a decade since Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto V.
Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next installment in this iconic series.
While Rockstar has kept us entertained with Red Dead Redemption 2 and regular updates for GTA Online, the wait for GTA 6 has felt endless.
When the studio announced a potential fall 2025 release for GTA 6, excitement skyrocketed.
The first official trailer, which dropped in December 2023, gave us a glimpse of what’s coming.
We know the game will return to Vice City and feature a thrilling story inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, with two new protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
But could the release date slip?
Insider’s Warning: Could GTA 6 Be Delayed?
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier recently shared some insights that might make fans nervous.
During an appearance on Kinda Funny Games Daily, Schreier mentioned that while Rockstar is on track, he would be “shocked” if GTA 6 actually launches in 2025.
According to Schreier, Rockstar has a history of delays.
Even though the studio is making progress, he reminded everyone that game development is unpredictable, and a lot can change in a year.
Schreier also pointed out that Rockstar isn’t in a rush, likely to ensure the game meets the incredibly high expectations set by fans.
What We Know So Far
As of now, GTA 6 is still officially slated for a fall 2025 release.
The game is rumored to feature an expansive online mode, which Schreier says has other publishers adjusting their release schedules to avoid competing with such a massive title.
While delays are always a possibility, nothing has been confirmed. For now, fans can hold onto the hope that GTA 6 will arrive next year.
