Fans are feeling a bit let down after Rockstar Games recently made an announcement that might affect the highly anticipated news about GTA 6.
Whenever Rockstar shares an update about the next Grand Theft Auto game, it causes a huge stir on social media. This was seen when the first GTA 6 trailer dropped in early December 2023, grabbing everyone’s attention.
Earlier this week, Rockstar confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will finally be released on PC later this month after fans waited 14 long years. While this news made many fans happy, some are worried it could slow down updates about GTA 6.
One fan on Reddit, RamonRamos, expressed concern, saying, “Could this mean we won’t get a trailer this month? With Red Dead Redemption coming to PC, I doubt Rockstar will release any info for GTA 6 in October.”
It’s important to note that Rockstar hasn’t announced when the next GTA 6 trailer will be released, so any rumors are just speculation for now.
Another Reddit user, DayDreamer1300, shared their frustration, saying, “We waited all these years for RDR and Undead Nightmare on PC, and they decide to do it now, when one of their biggest games is already in the works. Rockstar really knows how to keep us on edge.”
Some fans, however, believe Rockstar can manage both. Front_Carrot_1486 commented, “Studios usually have multiple teams working on different projects, and I’m sure Rockstar is no different. They can easily handle both.”
Others are questioning why people think a new trailer would drop soon. Sharp-Effective-2030 asked, “Where did this idea come from that we’d get a trailer this month?”
Another fan, Cavey20, guessed, “Watch Rockstar drop another trailer on December 4th this year.”
Right now, there’s no confirmed release date for GTA 6, but it’s expected to come out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025. A PC release hasn’t been confirmed yet.
As for the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption PC port, it’s set to launch on October 29.
