GTA 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games, and gamers everywhere are counting down the days.

While Rockstar Games hasn’t set an official release date yet, they have confirmed that GTA 6 will launch in Fall 2025.

This means fans only need to wait a little longer to finally experience the next chapter of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Though rumors about the game have been swirling for years, Rockstar officially announced in February 2022 that the game was in development.

GTA 6 Could Put Pressure on CPUs, Say Reports

There’s been a lot of discussion about how well GTA 6 will run on new gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5 Pro.

With Sony recently revealing the PS5 Pro, many gamers are curious if the new console will handle GTA 6 smoothly.

A lot of fans are waiting to buy the PS5 Pro until they know for sure that it will work well with GTA 6.

Richard Leadbetter, the tech editor at Digital Foundry, recently spoke about this in an interview with IGN.

He was asked if GTA 6 could run at 60 frames per second (fps) on the PS5 Pro. His answer was no. He explained that every previous GTA game has been released at 30fps, and some even lower.

Since the PS5 Pro uses the same CPU as the base PS5, he believes it would be tough for the PS5 Pro to hit 60fps if the base PS5 version is targeting 30fps.

Leadbetter also mentioned that the first GTA 6 trailer seemed to be running on either an Xbox Series X or a PS5, which is promising for fans hoping for great graphics.

However, reports suggest that GTA 6 could put a lot of strain on console CPUs. The game will need to process complex environments like crowded streets, heavy traffic, and the actions of NPCs (non-playable characters).

This means boosting frame rates will be a challenge. Once GTA 6 is released, it will be interesting to see how well it performs on different consoles.
